Hey friends, Oh yes the thoughts of not updating you all about every thrilling moment of our existence has pulled me from my bed and here I am staring numbly at the computer screen wondering what bit of substance I could share with you that would be a fair trade off for the time your spending visiting my blog. So if your loosing sleep over it too, here's the family update.
We had a super fun Halloween with Trunk-or Treat at the church, a charity dinner auction for the boys and girls club and visiting both grandparents for trick or treating. Needless to say our house had been deluged with candy. Kaden's booty weighed in at 8.2 lbs, Kole's 7.8 both of course weighed faithfully on the bathroom scale. I just love Halloween, I mean what mother doesn't love tucking her little bunchkins into bed and finding her children with clean pj's and freshly brushed teeth stockpiling candy under their pillows, in their now multicolored palms and stuffed away in their cheeks for safekeeping until morning.
Saturday, after the kids shook off their candy induced hangovers we went on a little excursion to visit Sam and Josie's family. My brother Sam baptized and confirmed Alex his oldest and we were so glad that they invited us. It was such a nice meeting with a sweet peaceful feeling. Alex, Meadow and Alex's friend who also got baptized sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". It was so beautiful to hear their earnest little voices singing. I especially loved the verse that Meadow was supposed to sing. When she was overcome by stage fright, Josie picked up Meadow and without hesitation sang the verse alone. I couldn't help but think that this is just what the Savior longs to do for us. He stands beside us and when life becomes so frightening and more than we can bear, he picks us up, holds us close and presses us forward and directly through our challenges. All the while making up the difference for us where we fall short. We are so proud of Alex. And so thankful to be a part of his special day.
